Low Fat Irish Coffee
Brew strong coffee ( caffeinated or decaf) and pour an 1/8 of a cup (or more to your liking!) of whiskey in your cup, along with 1 cube of raw sugar and ½- 1 teaspoon of vanilla flavoring to your liking. Top with Fat Free Whipping Cream (below) and please drink responsibly.
Fat Free Whipping Cream for Irish Coffee
Yields: 2½ Cups

Ingredients:
1/2 cup + 1 tablespoon nonfat dry milk powder
1/2 cup ice cold water
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 tablespoon ice cold water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon unflavored gelatin

Directions:
½ hour before making, chill a small mixing bowl and electric mixer beaters in the refrigerator.
Soften the gelatin in 1 tablespoon cold water in a glass measuring cup.
Heat in the microwave for 10 seconds on HIGH and stir to dissolve completely.
Mix together the powdered milk, ice cold water and powdered sugar in the chilled mixing bowl.  Beat the mixture with chilled beaters on MEDIUM speed until foamy.
With the motor running add the gelatin in a thin stream.
Beat for 10 minutes and then add and beat in the vanilla.
You can use immediately refrigerate or freeze. If frozen, thaw for 15 minutes before serving.
This whipped cream deflates if left standing, but you can rewhip it the next day with cold beaters.

Two Tablespoons contain only 10 calories, 2 grams of carbs and 1 gram of protein and 0 grams of fat.
